This healing method appeared in Hungary in the mid-1980s. For almost 30 years, domestic popularity of this method has been internationally significant. This unique / specific / therapeutic form is now available in every larger city, and is used in child psychological care, educational counseling, and rehabilitation institutions. The secret of success is a holistic approach because it focuses on supporting the personality of the person. Despite active playful and locomotor activities, neurophysical and psychosocial functions mature and do not function properly due to organic and psychological disorders.
SIT IN THE CZECH REPUBLICIn 2013, I received an invitation from the Association of Hungarian Physicians in the Czech Republic, at an annual conference held in Prague where I was able to present my theory of sensor integration therapy and its domestic use in practice. Here, for the first time, I met the fact that this effective method, which has been working successfully for many years throughout the world and throughout Europe, no one knows here, experts have not heard of it, and they do not apply it, and thus it can not spread to children's therapies.
For the reasons and the question "Why" I did not find the answer, but from that moment I put the emphasis on the question "How to go". I started looking for ways how to start this method in Prague.
Physicians, therapists, ergotherapeutists, physiotherapists, educators supported me in the necessity of this option, the experts confirmed their opinion that the SIT has a role in the field of child care care.
It was a destiny that I met founders of the NEUROREHABILITATION AXON clinic, which introduced an entirely new method of treatment in the Czech Republic. More information about this therapy can be found at . After successful negotiations, the clinic opened in October 2014, where the first SIT Center was set up.
Our facilities are becoming more and more, as well as Hungarian "magzathaló" / Czech "Embryonic-network" we got from Hungary.
My work complicates the fact that there are no information or websites are in the Czech language, all the materials have been translated.
At workshops, lectures, courses, the effectiveness of therapy among professionals is expanding. I try through various forums and through the media to get this opportunity to parents. Responses and interest in therapy have shown that there is a demand for this therapy, Czech experts are looking for opportunities to get acquainted with the basics of therapy. At SIT centre is possible to get your own experience.
My goal is to know more therapists, doctors and educators and recommend this method to parents. Another goal in the future is to start training and courses for professionals, and to expand SIT facilities and centers. Peter Pöthe, a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst in Prague, is helping, among others, the development of child psychotherapeutic care in the Czech Republic. He created a children's psychotherapeutic training center, where these new methods and methods through training courses are trying to get to the experts and parents, here was presented the SIT.
Beata Tóth is a psycho-pedagogue and therapist of sensor integration therapy in Hungary. The Sensor Integration Therapeutic Method, which is also used in the Czech Republic, is important for the treatment of children with hyperactivity and behavioral disorders. That is why I support the dissemination and use of this method in the Czech Republic as well.
